You
decide to have a drink of water, when you are thirsty or your
mouth is dry?
By then your are already dehydrated.
Women
have about 40 litres of water in their body, Men 45 litres,
approximately 75% of your body is water.
You
will lose at least 6 pts of water from your body each day even
if you are not active.
If you exercise it will be a lot more.
What
is the first piece of advise given to a person who wants to
be fit and healthy?
Drink lots of Water.
Your
brain is 78% water so dehydration will drastically affect it’s
performance. Drinking at least 1.5 litres a day will keep you
thinking clearly, reduce headaches, tiredness and dizziness.
Drinking
water will improve your digestion, help flush out toxins and
gives you a clearer skin with less broken capillaries and lines.
Water
can also help with weight lose. It suppresses the appetite and
boosts your metabolism. Drinking a glass of water before you
eat will calm your stomach, get rid of the rumbling and give
you a satisfied feeling so you eat less.
Chronic
dehydration can also cause a range of illnesses from Rheumatoid
Arthritis to Ulcers.
Do
not wait until you feel thirsty, check the colour of your urine.
It should be pale and clear; if it is dark yellow your body
needs more water.
Drink
at least 1.5 litres of water daily to keep well hydrated and
your brain and body firing on all cylinders.
